Before you decide
Are TruPals nurses?
No. TruPals are trained companions, caregivers and home managers with first aid and CPR. For medical procedures we arrange licensed nurses and physiotherapists through partner agencies, and your TruPal coordinates with them.
Who employs the caregiver?
We do. Every TruPal is on our payroll with PF and ESI. You don't deal with contracts, salaries or leave, and we arrange a replacement within 48 hours if your TruPal is unwell or on leave.
Can I meet the caregiver before they start?
Yes. You meet up to three shortlisted TruPals on video, and the first shift is a supervised trial at no extra cost.
What happens in an emergency at night?
Your TruPal follows a written plan agreed with you at onboarding: call the care lead, call the agreed hospital and ambulance, then call you. The care lead joins at the hospital if needed.
Is the TruPal Academy really free?
Yes, for the founding cohort: training, study material, first-aid certification and the practicum cost nothing. Certified graduates are offered placement with TruPal families, but are not obliged to accept.
